Apr 19, 2018Funeral services will be held at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, with Mark Davenport, officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to service from 10 – 11 a.m.Rell was born June 8, 1940, in Lane, Oklahoma a son of Odie Orell and Bertha Allen Yates. He married Evelyn Charlene Burnett July 30, 1960 in Atoka, Oklahoma. He was a salesman with Anderson Wholesale in Muskogee, OK for 30 years and a member of the Oklahoma National Guard.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Odis Yates, Noah Yates and a sister Lorene Eaves.He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Evelyn Yates; children Tim Yates of Lamar Point, Ragina Flenniken of Talahassee, FL, Randy Yates of Paris, Kim Kaupp of California City, CA; grandchildren Chris Yates, Chad Yates, Justin Flenniken, Haley Foutch, Jason Flenniken, Avery Gundersen and Regan Gundersen.
